PRIVATE GROUP WORKSHOPS - £235

Join us in Studio 1, set in the grounds of Belgrave Hall for a creative morning of jewellery making.

This group 2-hour session is the perfect way to enjoy some creative fun as a group. Whether it be a family and friends get together, a birthday party, team building, hen party to name just a few.  

The sessions can take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays between 11am - 1pm but different times are available depending on availability.

In this private fun-filled group session, you will create your very own textured pendant or pair of earrings to take home and wear with pride!  No experience is necessary as Linda, your tutor, will guide you step-by-step from design to finished piece.  

We start the session with Linda welcoming you to the studio with a warming cuppa and biscuits. You’ll then be shown a variety of finished pendants and earrings which have been created using simple shapes and textures to help with the design process.  We will be using a sizzix machine (yes, usually used for embossing card stock!) to texture the metal and a variety of jewellery making tools and equipment to create your piece.  As a final touch, we will use finishes to really bring your piece to life!

Included in the price is a 3cm x 3cm piece of copper.  If you would like to use recycled silver, it is available at an additional cost of £15.  You could make up to 3 pieces of jewellery depending on how big each piece is.  See the photos on this page to see the kind of pieces you can make.  

We also run monthly scheduled half-day and One-Day Jewellery Making Workshops.  In the Half-Day Workshop, you have the opportunity to create a pair of earrings, pendant, open bangle or open ring.  The One-Day Jewellery making Workshops gives you the opportunity to learn how to solder and learn to bond 24ct gold onto your piece using the art of Keum Boo, an ancient korean gilding technique.  Check out 'Students Creation' for a glimps of what you can achieve. 

Linda's Jewellery Making Studio is set within the beautiful walled gardens of Belgrave Hall itself, a stunning Grade II listed building in Leicester. The studio is part of the Hall's former outbuildings and stables .  It is an oasis of calm and a fun, friendly and relaxed spot to unleash your creativity. 

Our workshops are aimed at all age groups from the age of 14 onwards (children from 14 to 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult).  Due to the nature of jewellery making, there is a certain amount of hand-dexterity needed when using some of the tools.
