These offerings are for those wanting to have a more bespoke and flexible approach to jewellery making. Whether you are a beginner or have existing jewellery making experience.

- Materials & Consumables including copper, brass, sterling silver, gold, solder, findings (ear hooks/posts, jump rings), saw blades and any other consumables. All can be bought from the studio and suppliers at a reduced rate.
What you will learn depending on your own needs:
- Designing a piece of jewellery from start to finish
- Understanding sheet and wire and how they are used in jewellery making
- Measuring and sizing: making custom sizes
- Texturing onto metal using the rolling mill, hammers etc
- Annealing and soldering techniques
- Cutting techniques including sawing and piercing and disc cutters
- Forming metal using tools and techniques including the use of mandrels, doming blocks and punches
- Stone setting
- Chain making
- Keum Boo - an ancient korean gilding technique to add 24ct gold to your piece.
- Filing and polishing - creating different finishes

Health & Safety in the studio
As jewellers we work with tools, heat and chemicals. To ensure your safety, please take a look at our Studio health & safety guide.
Session 1 will include a complimentary 15 minute run through of health & safety in the workspace. The key is to familiarise yourself with how to safely use the studio without any incidents. As jewellers we are human and can make mistakes. But having the knowledge of the equipment and tools being used will help you to enjoy the process of jewellery making in a safe environment.
Some of the safety precautions to consider are:
Always wear closed-toed shoes
Please be sure to wear closed-toed shoes when making jewellery as we work around chemicals, heat and tools (no slippers, sandals or flip flops)
