Struggling to Solder Alone?
This Programme Is for You.
This 6-week coaching is designed for beginner to intermediate jewellery makers who are tired of trial-and-error soldering. It’s perfect for retirees, hobbyists, or career-changers who love making jewellery but keep hitting a wall with soldering. Does any of this sound familiar?
You’ve watched tutorials and read books, but when something goes wrong (solder won’t flow, joins keep failing) you have no idea why or how to fix it.
You waste expensive materials on messy solder joints, or fear melting your pieces because you’re unsure of the right techniques.
You feel isolated with your hobby – no expert to turn to when you get stuck, making the learning process frustrating and slow.
You’re passionate about jewelry making and even consider turning it into a business or retirement pastime, if only soldering wasn’t so intimidating.
If you’ve been struggling to solder and can’t find the answers on your own, this programme will give you the personal troubleshooting support you need to finally understand what’s going wrong and how to fix it. Linda’s approach is gentle and supportive – no jargon, no judgment – just real help for home jewellers who want to get better.
Solder with Confidence
Here’s How Our Coaching Helps
By the end of the 6 weeks, you’ll have not only new technical skills, but also the confidence and understanding to solder independently. Key benefits of the programme include:
Personalised Guidance: One-on-one live coaching means you get immediate feedback as you work. Unlike videos or classes, if something goes wrong, Linda is right there to help you adjust in real time No more guessing why a join failed – you’ll know how to correct it on the spot.
Faster Progress: With a dedicated coach, learn in 6 weeks what might otherwise take you a year of trying to figure out alone. You’ll skip the common pitfalls and overcome tricky soldering challenges much more quickly (and with far less frustration!).
Confidence & Consistency: Gain clear strategies for overcoming common soldering mistakes and fixing them. Soldering will start to feel second-nature as you consistently create strong, clean joins without the usual hesitation or fear. Imagine in just a few weeks, you’re confidently crafting beautiful, unique pieces that you’re proud to wear or share
Ongoing Support: This isn’t just a weekly class. It’s continuous coaching. You’ll have access to help between sessions (WhatsApp check-ins), so you never stay stuck. Linda will be there to answer questions or review your progress throughout the week, keeping you motivated and on track.
At-Home Convenience: All coaching is done via live video from your own workspace. No need to travel to a studio – you can learn with the tools and setup you have at home. Linda will even help you optimise your home soldering setup for better results, so your equipment and environment set you up for success.

Real Students
Real Transformations
Hear from two jewellery makers who’ve already improved their soldering with Linda’s help:
“Working with Linda is like having a soldering coach who actually understands what’s going wrong and how to fix it. She doesn’t just teach techniques — she helps you troubleshoot, so you know exactly why your solder isn’t flowing or why your joins keep failing. I can’t believe the transformation in just 6 weeks!”
These are the kind of results you can expect. No more confusion, no more stalled projects gathering dust. With Linda by your side, you’ll make steady progress and actually enjoy soldering!

You really wanted me to learn. That made a big difference.
Your one-on-one support throughout the week should I need it has been very different. I have felt like I am learning all week, not just in the 90 minutes we are together.

Meet Your Coach
Hi, I'm Linda
I'm passionate about helping others succeed. I’ve spent years perfecting the art of soldering, and I have a background in teaching silversmithing, so I know exactly where new jewellery makers struggle. Over time I’ve helped students of all ages (from complete beginners to seasoned hobbyists) overcome their soldering frustrations.
I created this coaching programme to offer the kind of personalised, one-on-one support I saw was missing for home. My approach is warm, patient, and supportive – there are no stupid questions! I’ll be with you every step of the way, celebrating your successes and troubleshooting any hiccups. My mission is to help you break through soldering roadblocks so you can create jewellery you’re proud of, with confidence.
When I’m not in my studio torch-in-hand, you can find me enjoying the rain (yes, really!) or spending time with my family and pets. I believe learning should be fun and stress-free, and I bring that encouraging spirit to every coaching session.
Why learn with me? I truly care about my students. As one of my clients said, “You really wanted me to learn. That made a big difference” I’m here to make a big difference for you, too – to turn soldering from a source of frustration into a source of joy.

What the 6-Week
1:1 Coaching Programme Looks Like
Each week, we’ll focus on building your skills step by step. The coaching is structured to ensure you learn why soldering works, not just how to do it, and you get plenty of practice with expert feedback. Here’s how it breaks down:
Six 1:1 Sessions (90 min each, via Zoom): One dedicated session per week where we tackle core soldering techniques and challenges. We’ll work live, face-to-face online, so you can solder at your own bench while I guide you.
Core Principles & Techniques: We start by demystifying the process. You’ll learn what’s happening when solder flows (or doesn’t). Understanding the science and technique behind soldering sets a solid foundation for everything else.
Live Demonstrations: I will show you exactly how to execute key techniques. Watch me solder up-close on camera, then it’s your turn. You’ll apply it yourself while I observe, and I’ll give instant pointers to refine your technique.
Hands-On Practice & Observation: This is not a passive lecture. Each session, you’ll be soldering your own pieces. I’ll be watching your process (via your webcam setup) to help you fine-tune posture, torch position, timing – all the little details that make a big difference
Homework & Bench Exercises: After each session, you’ll get a simple practice assignment to do on your own time. Don’t worry – these are fun projects or exercises to reinforce what you learned. Real progress happens at your own bench with your own tools, so these homework pieces help lock in your new skills
Mid-Week Check-Ins: Every week between our calls, I’ll check in with you by email or text. This is your chance to ask questions, share a photo of a solder join you’re unsure about, or just update me on how it’s going. You’ll never be stuck for long – I’m there to get you unstuck and keep you moving forward
Progress Tracking: You’ll receive a simple skills tracker to monitor your progress. It’s a little framework we use to assess your growing competency each week. This way, you can see how far you’ve come and know exactly what to focus on next.
Personalized to You: Every jeweller is different. I tailor the coaching to your goals. We can adapt projects to align with the type of jewellery you love to make. The one-on-one format means we go at your pace and address your specific challenges in real time.
By the end of the programme you’ll have completed a few small jewellery pieces (or components) using soldering techniques, and you’ll have the know-how to tackle new projects all on your own. Consider this coaching a personal apprenticeship that condenses years of trial-and-error into 6 weeks of focused learning.
